Varied Technology Experience
Outside of security, my proudest accomplishment is being able to achieve an extremely large and holistic understanding of the IT ecosystem. Most of this was accomplished through various personal projects, hobbies, curiosities, helping friends and family, homelabs, and 3am Wikipedia rabbit holes.
Some of this experience includes:
Java coding of multiple Discord applications, various utilities (gaming, musing, multi-purpose, moderation/security)
Java coding of multiple Minecraft plugins
Management of a large global Minecraft server (local and hosted via paid/online hosting services) and staff team
Local and Virtualized Linux & Windows server hosting
Cloud hosting in OVH and Digital Ocean with Linux and Windows servers
AWS EC2 environments and VPCs
Java and C# applications with SQL connectors (multiple application types: webapps, exes, utility, etc.)
Windows and app hardening against SANS/CIS Top 20 (now 18)
Windows 10, A/V equipment, internet, & M365 setup for churches and SMBs
Home network & firewall setup and hardening
Project Management as a project owner over a team of 5 software developers
Writing custom scripts to assist in automating tasks and crons
Security
For the past few months I've worked in an official capacity as an IT Security Analyst for a healthcare organization that serves 4 states, 21 hospitals, and over 250 ambulatory facilities. In this tenure I've learned and used a great number of Security applications, frameworks, and workflows. I've also been responsible for getting automation setup in a SOAR platform, conducting a SaaS Application audit of user accounts to determine if proper Access Management protocols are being followed, and performing an internal Risk Assessment based on NIST standards.
Over the past couple of years I have lightly dabbled in Red & Blue team security with Kali Linux, VMware, VirtualBox, MetaSploit, and a few security anti-virus softwares. Outside of direct Security work I have also honed in on some amazing best-practices for IT Security, both technical and human based security practices. Sometimes the need for good security measures seems to tie into the need for good system administration; in my experience a lot of my SysAdmin and Networking experiences work hand-in-hand with things I've learned about Security.

System Administration
I have a few years(4+) of various System Administration experience! This encompasses a number of various practices including Network Setup, Firewall setup & maintenance, virtual hosting using providers (such as OVH, Digital Ocean, VMware, Citrix, and AWS), local hosting for testing through VirtualBox and VMware, and a bit more. This experience ranges in both Linux and Windows environments and even includes Windows Server experience and setting up domains & Active Directory forests. The best thing about system administration is automation! Thanks to my love for automation I have gained a decent footing in Bash/Shell and PowerShell scripting.

Programming
For roughly 5-6 years now I've worked on various projects (personal, educational, and professional) to enhance my footing in programming. These projects range from WebApps, custom websites, Discord bot applications, minecraft plugins, eCommerce sits, and code maintenance. Through practice I've become skilled in two large languages(C# and Java), a couple major architectures & frameworks (MVC, ASP, .NET Core), and past that I've grown accustomed to light work in Javascript, Python, and HTML/CSS.
Come take a look at the success of a few of my projects!
Google Dorking for the win!
One of the best things that I've learned over my Computing and Security careers (educational and professional!) is that one of the best skills to have is to know how to properly do your own research. Sometimes this includes just Google searching, using key words to find the right articles, and other times it involves surfing through shared documentation or wikis for the right information to fulfill your needs.
In other terms: I'm good at googling, and that can make a huge difference in times of need.
